What is DNS?
The full form of DNS is "DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM". The domain used to search a website is called DNS. And the websites have IP. And public IPs are unique. (Ex: 59.152.101.54 )
If you search with the IP of a website, you will find that website. But the problem is that IPs are of different digits. Which is hard to remember.
IPT above, of IP version 4. But the IP of version 6 is a bit bigger (eg: 2401: f40: 1008: 35e: 4500: 973f: b6df: 25cf).
So it is difficult to remember that DNS is used.
How DNS works:
DNS is basically a server that works like a dictionary. When you search by typing the name of a website (e.g. google.com) it sends a search request to a DNS server. It then extracts the IP of that website, and retrieves the desired data for you from that website. Which means it's about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well.
Everyone will be fine, stay healthy. God bless you.
